Welcome to the online home of the Drentsche Patrijshond
Club of North America (DPCNA)!

Picture
The DPCNA is the official parent club for the Drent, one of the rarest pointing breeds in North America. Here you will find information about the club and breed, as well as the latest news and helpful resources for getting your own Drent. We have also included an extensive photo album so that you can get a great idea of what kind of dog the Drent is. As a club, we strive to maintain the Drent according to the three pillars on which it was founded: Family dog, farm dog, and productive hunter. We believe the Drent is the epitome of a versatile gun dog. The Drent is enthusiastic about everything he/she does - from cuddling on the couch to locating and retrieving game in the field (both land and water). Here at the DPCNA, we are passionate about the Drent. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you might have!
